I used markers on the above one and 

colored pencils on the one below...

Haunted House

 

Halloween wouldn't be complete without a haunted house or two...is there one in your town or neighborhood?

Let's draw a spooky one...

Draw several points on your paper...

Draw lines down from the points to make towers...

and connect them...

add several windows...and a door...

draw some bushes at the base of your house and steps...

some bats in the air...

and color...

You can add more details if you like before you color it in...maybe a spiderweb...a jack o'lantern...some ghosts in the windows...

Bats and Oil Pastels

 

A bright, Colorful moon with bats

done with oil pastels...

Draw a circle with yellow and fill in fairly thick...

Draw an orange circle around the yellow...

Using your fingers or a tissue blend the two colors...

Add two more colors...

I used blues but you can use different colors if you like...

Blend those two colors together being careful not to get too much on the yellow and orange...

Add one more color of your choice...

I used green...

Finish with black oil pastel 

and blend those two colors...

Finally, draw your bats with black oil pastel...

do not blend these...

you want them to stay nice and dark...

And there's your finished picture..hope you had fun!

Let's get Batty

 

Scary and cute bats are always a welcome sight at Halloween...

as long as they aren't real...

They aren't hard to draw...start with a circle...

add two pointy ears on top...

Draw the tops of the wings...

each with a point on top in the middle...

add the bottom of the wings..

Then draw lines connecting the points on the wings...

Draw the bats face....funny...scary...your choice...

Add color...most bats are all black....but if you color them all back the details disappear...so I did mine in purple...

And there you have a bat to add to your collection of Halloween drawings...

Jack O'Lanterns

 

Halloween wouldn't be complete without a Jack O'Lantern or two...

Draw up some ideas before you carve yours...

First, draw an oval...

Now draw two partial ovals on each side...

Add the top stem...

Now draw your Jack O'Lanterns face...

Ink it in...

and add color...

I hope your Jack O'Lanterns turn out the way you plan...whether they are scary...funny or happy...

Spider Webs

Halloween is fast approaching...

Let's get in the mood by doing some spooky drawings...first...

a spider web...

Start by drawing some wiggly lines...

Then start your web...

draw curves connecting the wavy lines...

Draw them all the way from the bottom to the top of your wavy lines...

Add some curlies to the ends...

then one long curly with a spider on the bottom...

Ink it all in and your Spider web is finished...
